Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026 · Deutsche Version (the German version is the legally binding one)
1. Controller
The operator named in the legal notice (Impressum) (KianFloppa) is responsible for data processing on this website.
Email: [email protected]
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser and device information, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and working website). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses also apply. More: Cloudflare's privacy policy.
3. Live visitor counter
The website shows how many people have the site open right now, from which country and on which page. For this, your browser session connects to our server. Only the country (determined by Cloudflare) and the page you are on are kept, and only in memory while the page is open. We store no IP addresses, no cookies and no identifiers on your device; no profiles are created and no history is stored. Only combined numbers are shown.
Statistics for the last 30 days: We also count, per day and country, how many page views and how many different visitors there were. To count each visitor only once per day, a one-way checksum (hash) is created from your IP address, your browser type and a random daily value. The IP address itself is not stored. The checksums and the daily value are deleted every day at midnight (UTC), so nobody can be recognised across several days. Only combined numbers per country and day are kept, and they are deleted after 30 days.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous visitor statistics). You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR).
Installing the app and sharing
You can install the website as an app on your device. Your browser then tells us anonymously that it was installed, and the site reports when it is opened as an app. We count both like the clicks: at most once per person and day (with the same daily one-way checksum that is deleted at midnight UTC), and only totals are shown publicly. No IP addresses, identifiers or cookies are stored, and the app keeps no offline copy of the site. The share button only opens your device's share menu or copies the link; no data is sent to us. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Browser minigame (fishing)
Your game progress (Fishdex, score) is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us. You can reset it at any time on the game page. We only count anonymously that at least one game was played per person and day, and whether a legendary catch happened, with the same daily one-way checksum as the other counters (deleted at midnight UTC). Only totals are shown publicly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Display settings
If you turn on "High contrast" or "Reduce effects", this choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
4a. Update notifications
Only if you click "Get notified of updates" and allow notifications, your browser creates a push address (a link to your browser maker's push service, e.g. Google, Mozilla or Apple). We store this address on Cloudflare to send you a short wake-up message when a new update is out; the message itself contains no data, your browser then loads the update title from this website. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time by clicking the button again or turning notifications off in your browser; the address is then deleted, and addresses that stop working are deleted automatically.
5. External links
The website contains links to other platforms (for example Epic Games Store, Discord, Patreon, itch.io). Data is only sent once you click a link; the privacy policy of that platform then applies.
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed and no legal retention duties apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Just write to the email address above.
