V0.9992: a rival racer, a sealed palace and a secret under the well
Floppa Odyssey gets Dash, a rival who races with your exact moves, a new palace cutscene, a rebuilt Palace Peak, a secret room under the village well and smoother movement. Plus a settings button, hats that show from every side and lots of fixes.
What's in this build
- New rival: Dash, a sporty racer in Bramble Hill Fort. He moves exactly like you, long jumps included, so you'll need a near-perfect run to beat him. He asks before racing, and when you win he congratulates you and hands over his shrimp.
- New cutscene: the first time you step inside the palace, Bingus shows you his sealed doors and the paintings he hid the shrimp in.
- Palace Peak rebuilt: a real jump'n'run of stones that starts on land by the sign and winds up the mountain, with the flag on the summit.
- A secret under the village well: jump in to find a hidden room with a new Golden Shrimp.
- Hat Toss now works with plain throws (no motion controls needed), Clipper steps aside with a short cutscene, and the music stops during the game.
- Movement: your cap flies farther when thrown in a jump, rolling off an edge keeps you rolling, rolling into your cap bounces you into a cap jump, and sliding down a wall has its own pose, dust and sound. Hanging on a moving platform's ledge now carries you along.
- Bramble Hill Fort: a dirt path leads round the second terrace to its red coin, the floating isle is bigger with a little garden, the grass is greener, and the Big Bonker stays beaten once you have his shrimp.
- Menus: a Settings button on the Odyssey title and pause menus, and M opens the map on PC. The pause map now shows the whole island.
- Hats and headbands no longer disappear when seen from behind, in every mode.
- New console command: welcome opens the first-start welcome window again.
