V0.9995 #4: Epic Games integration, 40 achievements, lobby codes and home upgrades
Floppaland now connects to Epic: sign in with your Epic account, earn 40 achievements and invite friends with a simple lobby code. Getting there meant polishing a lot of the game, and your tent can finally grow into a real house.
Epic Games integration
- Sign in with your Epic account. When you start the game from the Epic Games Launcher it happens automatically, and the game remembers you after the first sign-in.
- 40 achievements across every mode: island life, exploring, bosses, Floppa Odyssey, Floppakart, Floppaparty and Floppa Topia. They show up in the Epic overlay (Shift+F3) and on your Epic profile.
- Achievements you already earned are unlocked automatically the first time you sign in, and unlocks made offline are sent later.
- Online multiplayer now uses lobby codes: the host gets a short 6-character code, COPY INVITE copies it and friends just paste it to join. No IP addresses or port forwarding needed. Same-network play still works as before.
- No Epic account? The game still runs completely offline, Epic features simply stay off.
Why this matters
- Your progress and achievements are tied to your Epic account, so they show up on your profile and next to your friends.
- Playing together is much easier: one code instead of network setup.
- Getting the integration ready meant going through a big part of the game: fixing bugs, polishing menus and translations, and making sure every mode tracks progress properly.
Home upgrades
- New Home Upgrades desk in the Mayor Office: grow your tent into a House (15x15) and then a Bigger House (20x20).
- Upgrades are paid with a home loan that you pay off at the ATM whenever you like. The next upgrade unlocks when the loan is paid.
- The build is finished the next day, or after a night in your bed.
- Your home looks different outside at every level, and the house storage grows from 80 to 120 to 200 slots.
- The chapter 2 quest Upgrade your home can now be completed.
Island life
- The Mentor now gives you your first Tent Kit as a welcome gift.
- A brand new striped tent with an open, warm-lit entrance, poles, ropes, a lantern and a little flag, plus a new Tent Kit icon.
- Villagers react with faces and emotes: happy, laughing, surprised, hearts, sad, annoyed, thinking, sleepy and confused. They react to greetings, gifts, friendship, rain, night time and being bumped into.
- The 0.5 star Town Rating reward is now coins.
- The Tinkerer shop is fully translated.
