V0.9995 #1: Villager homes, a cozier island and a rebuilt Cog Works
Every villager gets a little house you can visit, your own home is fixed and cozy with a new bed, the island looks softer and greener, Cog Works is rebuilt in many places, and the game speaks German (and 18 other languages) much more consistently.
Floppaland (main game)
- Villager homes: every resident now lives in their own small house around the plaza, with their own roof colour and name sign. Walk in to visit them in a furnished room in their colours.
- Your house is fixed: decorations snap to a clean grid with a see-through green or red preview, no longer float, overlap or block the door, and the big house's grid lines up with the walls. Old saves are tidied up automatically.
- Your house is cozy now: wooden floor, wallpaper, windows with curtains, a warm ceiling lamp and a proper door.
- New decoration: a Bed (2x3), with its blueprint at the Tinkerer.
- A Decorate Home board next to your door places boss trophies and stored decorations.
- Boss trophies are now little statues of the real bosses on wooden plinths.
- Trees, rocks and grass have new looks: softer greens, rounder crowns, real grass blades, and leaves near the camera fade out so they never hide you.
- The dark square around the player at dusk and night is gone, and nights look warmer.
- Distance Fog off now really turns all fog off. Clouds have soft edges, melt away up close and are dim at night.
- The world border now shimmers softly when you get close, like in Floppa Odyssey.
- The Mayor Office door is solid and opens from the right spot.
- The camera zoom indicator shows every zoom step.
Floppa Odyssey
- Cog Works: the runaway shrimp and the wind-up mouse no longer wait right at the start, the pendulums are rebuilt so you really ride them, the music box pit has a proper stair, and many flickering surfaces, missing collisions (ceiling too) and gears stuck in walls are fixed.
- Cog Works: the clock's top platform now hangs from the ceiling, so it no longer blocks the view of the clock face.
- Cog Works: the boss walks towards you and is harder to dodge, the floor buttons sink and change colour when pressed, and the hall no longer has sunlight inside.
- You stand up straight for every shrimp celebration, even if you grab it mid-roll or in the air.
- Health, air and water at the top right are 25% bigger.
- Experimental, just for fun: the console command odysseyfirstperson on/off lets you play in first person.
Menus and languages
- Texts no longer flip between English and your language: everything is translated the moment it appears.
- Many missing main-game texts are translated in all 20 languages: trees, stones, the trader, the inventory, crafting and more.
- The inventory tabs and title fit their translated text.
- Right-click a game mode to see its Early Access progress, full game progress and translation. Right-click Multiplayer to see how far each mode supports it.
