🦋 Naturalist's Bugdex
Every bug from the game, laid out like the in-game Bugdex: where it lives, when it's out, and what it sells for. Each bug is also a 3D model from the game with its idle animation: drag to turn it.

How to catch bugs
- Get a Bug Net: Fisher's Market → Open Shop → Buy Rods, for 250 coins. It never wears out.
- Find bugs: up to 6 bugs show up around you, each in its own habitat and only at its time of day, season and weather (see each bug above). Lamp moths only come at night, near lamps, torches, lanterns and campfires.
- Sneak up: sprinting near a bug scares it away. Walk slowly instead. Very rare and legendary bugs are extra shy: stop a little before them and swing from net range.
- Swing: equip the net from the Tool Wheel or hotbar, then press Left Click or F, RT or A on a controller, or the Interact button on touch. A bug about 2 m in front of you is caught.
- Bugdex and selling: every catch goes into your Bugdex (U) and your backpack. Sell bugs at the Fisher's Market or the Trader for their full value.
- Bugs live in the main game world (home island, expedition islands and sky islands), not inside houses or in the other game modes.
Times are the in-game clock. Bugs with "All year" appear in every season. Names and descriptions are in English, like in the game.
