V0.9995 #22: Bug catching
Grab a Bug Net and catch all 30 bugs: they now live on your islands as animated 3D bugs, fill your Bugdex and sell for coins.
Bug Net
- New tool: the Bug Net, at the Fisher's Market (Buy Rods tab) for 250 coins. It never wears out.
- Equip it from the Tool Wheel or hotbar and swing with Left Click or F (RT or A on a controller, Interact on touch). A bug about 2 m in front of you is caught.
Bugs
- All 30 Bugdex bugs now live in the world as 3D bugs with their own idle animations: butterflies flap, bees buzz, beetles twitch their antennae.
- Up to 6 bugs show up around you, each in its own habitat (flowers, trees, rocks, ground, water, air) and only at its time of day, season and weather. Lamp moths come to lamps, torches and campfires at night.
- Sprinting scares bugs away, so walk up slowly. Very rare and legendary bugs are extra shy.
- Each catch shows a Bug Caught card, goes into your Bugdex and your backpack. Sell bugs at the Fisher's Market or the Trader for their full value.
- Bugs live on the home island, expedition islands and sky islands, not inside houses or in the other game modes.
Bugdex
- The Bugdex button has its own butterfly icon.
Fixes
- Epic achievements now unlock in Floppa Kart and Floppa Party too.
- The swimming bar no longer covers the Fishdex or Bugdex.
