V0.9995 #24: The new Backpack
The Backpack gets the Collection Journal look: categories on the left, big item tiles, a detail panel, drag & drop and one amount picker for selling and storing.
New Backpack
- Same layout as the Collection Journal: categories on the left (Tools & Weapons, Materials, Furniture, Farming & Food, Fish, Bugs, Other), item tiles in the middle, details on the right.
- Every tile shows the item's name, amount, rarity colour, and durability for tools. Fish show their stars.
- The detail panel shows amount, value in Coins, the whole stack's value, durability, traits, stars, size, the description and how to get the item.
- Bait, Craft, Arrows and Armor are in the sidebar under More.
- Search, sorting, Full Grid and Ground Pickup are still at the top and bottom.
Controls
- Drag an item onto another slot to swap them. Drop it on the same item to merge the stacks. A ghost of the item follows your mouse, and slots light up green or red.
- Right-click does the quick action: equip or use in the Backpack, sell in a shop, store or take in House Storage.
- Shift + right-click opens the new amount picker: slider, minus and plus, 1, Half or All, and it shows how many Coins you get.
- Controller: the D-pad moves between tiles, LB/RB switch categories, A selects, X does the quick action, Y opens the amount picker, B goes back.
- Touch: tap to select, tap again to use, hold to drag.
- Keyboard: Q/E or Page Up/Page Down switch categories.
Shops and storage
- The Trader's Post and Fisher's Market use the new Backpack for selling, with the price on every tile.
- House Storage uses the same tiles and amount picker.
More fixes
- 1 Coin instead of 1 Coins, in every language.
- Quest rewards, NPC requests, Town Rating, expedition goals, arena results and multiplayer panels now show Coins instead of $.
- Item descriptions are now translated into every language.
- The level bar no longer covers the Backpack.
- Tool Wheel names match the Backpack names.
