V0.9995 #5: Homes that grow to eight levels, furniture sets, new ziplines and jump pads, and a smoother multiplayer lobby

Your home now grows all the way to a manor with five rooms, its own mailbox and a golden reward at the end, and it takes more ground outside as it grows. Four furniture sets to buy and complete, chairs you can sit on, rebuilt jump pads and ziplines, a friendlier multiplayer lobby and every mode's logo in the menus.

Your home: eight levels

  • The Home Upgrades desk now goes up to level 8: Tent, House, Bigger House, Side Room, Second Side Room, Upstairs, Basement and Storage Expansion. House storage grows up to 1600 slots.
  • Every room is its own space: walk through the doorways to the side rooms, take the stairs up or the hatch down to the basement.
  • Your home now takes more ground on the island as it grows: 3x3 as a tent, 5x5 as a house and 7x7 from the Side Room on. It looks wide and cosy instead of thin and tall.
  • If something stands in the way (trees, stones, blocks or furniture), the desk tells you to clear the space or move your home with a Relocation Kit. Older saves grow as soon as the space is free.
  • While an upgrade is being built, scaffolding and an Under construction sign stand around your home.
  • Exterior options: pick the roof and wall colour, the door and the mailbox style (more colours unlock with every level).
  • Home score with medals and tips, plus a weekly letter about how your home is doing.
  • A mailbox outside your home: letters arrive there, and the flag goes up when there is new mail.
  • Light switches in every room, a doorbell, and partition walls you can wallpaper.
  • Finish every level and pay off the loan to get the Golden Floppa Statue.
  • The cellar no longer has a light glowing out of a wall, and the score bar tip and the loan hint no longer overlap or repeat.

Furniture sets

  • New Shop tab in Decorate mode with four furniture sets of six pieces each: Cozy Cabin, Beach House, Spooky Manor and Royal (24 new pieces, from armchairs and a fireplace to a hammock, a cauldron and a throne).
  • Buy them with coins; they go straight into your House Storage.
  • Place a whole set in your home for a big home score bonus.
  • Sit down on chairs, sofas, benches, the hammock and the throne: press Interact, move or jump to get up.
  • Switch lamps, candles, the fireplace and the cauldron on and off with Interact.

Villager homes

  • Every villager house is bigger now (5x5), so the homes on the island look more realistic next to yours.

Jump pads and ziplines

  • New jump pad look: a dark rubber rim with the brand around its side and a light blue deck with stepped rings. When it launches you, the deck flashes blue. It still covers 2x2 cells and uses its jump sound.
  • New zipline: dark poles that bend over at the top into a yellow pulley head, and a straight, tight cable a bit higher than before.
  • You ride it on a magnet handle above your head, so the cable no longer goes through your head.
  • Grab the cable anywhere along it, not only at the poles: you ride the way you are looking.
  • Both now show what you can do: Ride [F] and Pick Up [G] at a zipline, Pick Up [G] at a jump pad.
  • New, sharper icons for both.

Multiplayer

  • The lobby lets you choose between the Epic online service and a direct connection, and modes that can't be played online are greyed out.
  • Every player's character shows in the lobby.
  • Connecting with the same Epic account twice now says so, and running two copies of the game on one PC gives a warning.
  • A guest who joins before the host has loaded the world now waits for it instead of loading a broken island.
  • Guests can't own a tent or house in someone else's world anymore.

Menus and modes

  • Every mode shows its own logo in the main menu, the top right corner and on its loading screen.
  • Redesigned main menu buttons.
  • A new, cleaner Floppatopia logo font.
  • Floppa Odyssey now follows the Sound Volume setting.
  • Floppa Odyssey: rumblerocks are solid now, so you can't walk through them, and the Style tab is fully translated.
  • Floppa Odyssey: the ship no longer sails through an island, and you can't swim under the map anymore.

Island and polish

  • Grass no longer gets a grey shine at sunset.
  • Coin rings on the island are round again, and hay bales can be rolled.
  • A more detailed performance display setting.
  • The fishing minigame's HOLD text is bold and a little bigger.
